We are all basically good. Our true nature is radiant, open and full of possibilities.
But we forget.
Layers and layers of conceptual thinking, stories, preconceptions, judgements and identities cover up our true nature of self. We cling onto the person whom we think we are, or whom we think we should be, or want to be. We cling onto our past, our stories, our future, our images, our possessions, etc. We operate in an artificial belief system and forget all about the very basic simple truth:
We are all basically shining and radiant like the sun. Everything is workable and okay. We can work things out from the very basic, just sit down and be with our body. Feel the solid ground, which is our mother-earth that will never betray us.
A spiritual path is not about achieving a goal or attaining something outside of us.
It is very simple and direct. It is about coming back to our true nature, our home. It's about relating to the immense magic and brilliance in our existence that is available all the time. We only need to pay attention to it, to be aware of it.
Do the work by simply being alive. Drop the storylines and monkey mind. Be here. Be in the present moment. Be with our feelings, as a matter of fact.
Trust that the practice will automatically sort things out on its own in our system. We do not have to push it or to resist it. We just have to allow our karmic seeds to run their course.
Trust that eventually, our true nature will shine through. Just start with sitting and doing the work on the spot, wherever we are, whenever we can. Simply be with our body completely, fully and directly experience this moment without crafting a story around it. Allow the radiance to shine through, like a king or queen on the throne. The dignity comes from being still and simple.
The magic is available for us all the time. We just have to relate to it, pay attention to it.
